Edo Omerčević, Ph.D.
President of the Evaluation Society in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Dr. Edo Omerčević is an Associate Professor of Economics at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), where he teaches courses in economics and public policy. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from IUS in 2016. In addition to his academic career, Dr. Omerčević contributes to research and public debates on economic reforms, entrepreneurship, and European integration. He has also lectured at universities in the Gulf region. His professional focus includes development planning, socio-economic policy, and evaluation, and he has cooperated with domestic institutions, international organizations, and donors in strengthening evidence-based policymaking. In 2025, he was elected President of the Evaluation Society in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he promotes monitoring and evaluation theory and practice, professional standards, regional cooperation, and the inclusion of young evaluators.
Jasmina Okičić, Ph.D.
President of the Assembly of the Evaluation Society in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Prof. Jasmina Okičić is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Tuzla, where she has developed a rich academic and research career. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from the same university and currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of Economic Review: Journal for Economics and Business. Her teaching and research focus on quantitative economics, financial literacy, capital markets, and applied econometrics, with numerous publications in national and international journals. Beyond academia, Prof. Okičić actively participates in strategic planning and evaluation processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She has cooperated with institutions, civil society, and international partners to improve transparency, accountability, and the effectiveness of policies. In 2025, she was elected President of the Assembly of the Evaluation Society in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she works to strengthen democratic governance, credibility, and the visibility of evaluation practice in the country and the region.
Zlatan Hrnčić, Ph.D.
Secretary of the Evaluation Society in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Dr. Zlatan Hrnčić holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Sarajevo and is a recognized researcher and practitioner in the fields of gender, violence, and social development. His academic work includes research on violence against pregnant women in Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly in family, health system, and workplace contexts, within the framework of the regional UNIGEM (University and Gender Mainstreaming) project. He actively participates in teaching and research workshops at partner universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, linking academic research with practical public policies. In addition to his academic work, Dr. Hrnčić has experience in development projects, coordination, and evaluation, working with civil society and international organizations to improve governance and institutional capacities. In 2025, he was elected Secretary of the Evaluation Society in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he is responsible for organizational management, documentation, and communication of the Society with domestic and international partners.
